Zi (Rat · Yang Water) and Chou (Ox · Yin Earth) form the first and most stabilizing of the Six Earthly Harmonies (六合). Quick, agile Water is gently anchored by steadfast mineral Earth, consolidating scattered ideas into enduring institutional or domestic foundations.
When Zi and Chou appear in adjacent natal pillars (especially Day and Month or Day and Hour), it confers strong marital loyalty, diplomatic tact, and the ability to unite visionary strategy with disciplined execution.
In 2026 Bing-Wu (Fire Horse), Chou acts as a protective buffer that absorbs and grounds the Zi–Wu clash energy.
If the chart is overly cold/damp in winter, introduce Bing Fire (sunlight, warm colors, decisive action) so Zi–Chou transforms into fertile soil rather than frozen mud.
