Developed during the Song and Ming dynasties for the Imperial Court Observatory, Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗数) maps 14 Major Stars and over 90 auxiliary stars across 12 Life Palaces. We follow the classical principle of Xing Ping He Can (星平合参)—pairing your Purple Star 12-Palace grid directly with your Four Pillars BaZi chart.
Governs innate temperament, life trajectory, and personal sovereignty (命宫本命格局). An Empty Palace (空宫) at guiwei that borrows the opposite San Fang Si Zheng triad stars for flexible adaptation during Ages 3–12.
Your Ming Gong (命宫) governs innate temperament and early-life trajectory, while your Shen Gong (身宫) reveals the palace where your conscious focus gravitates after age 35.
Never read a palace in isolation. Every palace forms a sacred trine with the palaces 4 steps away (e.g., Life + Career + Wealth) and faces its opposite palace (Travel/Social).
Triggered by Heavenly Stems, Hua Lu (Prosperity), Hua Quan (Authority), Hua Ke (Reputation), and Hua Ji (Friction/Obsession) act as the dynamic catalysts of your chart.
Includes Zi Wei, Tian Ji, Tai Yang, Wu Qu, Tian Tong, Lian Zhen, and the Southern Dipper treasury stars.
